General & Booking
Why should I choose Reliable Auto Shipping (RAS)?
We work with professional agents to guarantee a timely shipping service. Our team supports you 24/7 during the whole process. RAS works with professional drivers who have proven themselves to be reliable and experienced. We never omit details regarding price rates or dates, and we have long-lasting relationships with our 5-star carriers. Whenever you need professional shipping services, RAS is here to help via phone, email, or message.
What is the cost of shipping a vehicle?
Our rates are based on several factors: size of vehicle, distance, working condition, time of year, and general market price for the route. By filling out our quote form, we can accurately estimate the exact costs for your specific move.
How far in advance should I schedule my transport?
We recommend scheduling as soon as possible. Usually, we can assign a truck within 1 to 5 days from your first available date. If your vehicle is ready immediately, we will work to schedule it as close to your preferred date as possible. Submitting orders approx. 5 days in advance is helpful, but not always mandatory.
Do I have to pay everything upfront?
No. Reservation is free of charge. You need to provide pickup/delivery addresses and contact names. We do not charge anything upfront. Once we secure a spot on a trailer, a deposit is due. The remaining balance is paid on delivery via cash, cashier’s check, or money order directly to the driver.
Payment & Pricing
Are there any additional costs?
No, the quote is all-inclusive. It covers door-to-door service, full bumper-to-bumper insurance, taxes, tolls, and personal belongings up to 100 lbs free of charge.
What payment options do you offer?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and PayPal for the initial deposit (10-20% of the total). The remaining balance is paid upon delivery via Cash, Cashier's Check, or Money Order.
Timing & Logistics
How long does pickup and delivery take?
Pickup: Usually occurs on your exact preferred date in metro areas, or within 2-3 days for rural areas.
Delivery:
Delivery:
- Coast-to-Coast: 7-10 days
- North-South: 5-7 days
- Under 500 miles: 2-3 days
What does Door-to-Door mean?
We pick up and deliver as close to your address as legally possible. Since many trucks are over 75ft long, they cannot enter small residential streets. In such cases, the driver will ask to meet you at a nearby large parking lot (like a grocery store or school).
Insurance & Safety
Is my vehicle insured?
Yes. We provide full bumper-to-bumper insurance.
Open Transport: At least $100,000 coverage.
Enclosed Transport: At least $250,000 coverage.
This covers scratches, total damage, theft, and fire while on the trailer. NOTE: Personal belongings inside the car are NOT insured.

What if my vehicle is damaged?
If you notice damage upon delivery, you MUST note it on the Bill of Lading (BOL) before the driver leaves. Have the driver sign it. Then, call RAS immediately to report it. We will facilitate the arbitration process with the carrier's insurance.
Can I ship personal belongings?
You can include up to 100 lbs of personal items in the trunk free of charge. Items must be below window level. The driver's seat must be empty. Note: The Department of Transportation prohibits household goods transport; therefore, these items are shipped strictly at your own risk and are not covered by insurance.
