Terms of Use
Please read these terms carefully before using our website or booking auto transport services with Reliable Auto Shippings.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or booking vehicle transport through Reliable Auto Shippings (RAS), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or submit your information.
2. Description of Services
Reliable Auto Shippings operates as a licensed auto transport broker. We connect customers seeking vehicle shipping services with independent, FMCSA-licensed and insured motor carriers. We do not operate the transport trucks directly; rather, we arrange, negotiate, and coordinate the logistics of your shipment on your behalf.
3. Quotes, Pricing, and Payments
All quotes provided are estimates based on current market conditions, vehicle specifications, and route availability.
- No Upfront Fees: We do not charge a fee simply to receive a quote or place your order into our dispatch network.
- Deposit: A 10-20% deposit is required only upon successfully securing and assigning a verified carrier to your vehicle's route.
- Balance: The remaining balance is due directly to the carrier upon delivery. Drivers typically accept cash, cashier's check, or money order.
4. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth transport process, you agree to the following responsibilities:
- Provide accurate information regarding your vehicle's make, model, modifications, and running condition. Failure to disclose that a vehicle is inoperable or oversized may result in delays or additional carrier fees.
- Ensure the vehicle is ready for transport at the agreed-upon location and time.
- Be present (or designate an authorized adult representative) at both pickup and delivery to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and sign the Bill of Lading (BOL).
5. Insurance and Liability
As a broker, Reliable Auto Shippings verifies that all assigned carriers maintain active cargo insurance. The assigned motor carrier bears the sole responsibility for any damage incurred during transit.
- Damage Claims: Any damage must be clearly noted on the Bill of Lading (BOL) at the time of delivery before the driver departs. Failure to note damage on the BOL may void the insurance claim.
- Personal Items: The Department of Transportation prohibits the transport of household goods in auto haulers. Any personal belongings packed inside the vehicle are shipped strictly at your own risk and are not covered by the carrier's cargo insurance.
6. Communications and TCPA Consent
By submitting your contact information through our webforms, you consent to be contacted by Reliable Auto Shippings via phone calls, emails, and SMS text messages for quoting, scheduling, marketing, and logistical coordination. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt-out of SMS communications at any time by replying "STOP."
7. Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel your transport order without penalty at any time before a carrier is officially dispatched. Once a carrier has been secured, assigned to your route, and the 10-20% deposit has been processed, the deposit becomes non-refundable, as the brokerage services have been rendered.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any legal action or proceeding relating to your use of our services shall be instituted in a state or federal court of competent jurisdiction.
